We often complain about the price of things, well I sure do, I'd be filthy rich if they paid me for it. But sometimes you have to sit back and take a hard look at whats possible today and almost was not imaginable 5 years ago.

Want a hard cover book with your photos and text, formatted to your liking? This would have cost you a fortune a few years back, but with products like Apple's Aperture or iPhoto, anyone with creativity and desire can put together a amazing book, the software does a most of the job in layout out your photos based on ratings you set. Its almost cheating when you think about it. But best of all, print just one copy for  but $30!

Well browsing the web and checking out color schemes when I noticed that ColorLovers.com partnered up with a company that goes by SpoonFlower.com, now what they do is print 1 yard at a time (or more yards if you want) of your own design, ya! Like your own design right on a cloth and they ship it right to your door. All for the starting price of $18 a yard. That's got to be cool if you ask me.

So why does a web developer think that's cool? Well mostly because it's how technology comes together, the web and design service lets users design a pattern on the browser, from there they can simply order a couple of yards and it arrives home. Like move back 10 years and just try to imagine that you would be able to do something like this one day. Ya it's cool!!!

Xoopla now offers external voting widgets which you can place on your Xoopla site pages and of course, your own web site pages!

This is all done via the BestOf page in your community or user. First add the default page: Using the "+" button on the right side of the menu bar, add the Best-Of page if it is hidden. Then create a new BestOf list like "Best burgers etc..." and then the "Get Widget" link will appear below any businesses added. If your business is not there, suggest it, simple as that.

Clicking on the "get widget" link will display the embedable code which you can cut/paste into your site pages.
