COMMENTS FROM TEAM LEADER IN MUZAFFARGARH

A health camp is set up at a crisis centre in Muzaffargarh. This
team witnessed many cases of Gastroenteritis and provided
timely remedy. It is feared that shortage of safe drinking water,
medicines, doctors and paramedics can aggravate the situation
in coming days. According to the Muzaffargarh Control Room,
two million people in Muzaffargarh District have been
displaced and some families have been forced to live along the
roads and on dykes.

COMMENTS FROM TEAM LEADER IN NOWSHERA

A health camp set up is receiving large number of patients on the first day. Communicable diseases such as skin infections and bacterial conjunctivitis are fast spreading and prominent in the area. Flood victims say they have not seen a public health officer since they have arrived here.

Each team will be seeing approximately 300 patients per day in the medical camps (both fixed and mobile). The drugs that are included among the relief goods are: analgesics, antipyretics, anti allergy,
antibiotics, anti malarial, cardiovascular drugs, Gynea medicines, skin ointments, Gastroenterology, ear/ eye preparations, respiratory, emergency medicines and supplements.
