SynesthAsia

Support a good cause and have a good time

The annual SynesthAsia Charity Fashion Show is taking place this year on January 29th at Metropolis.

This Montreal-based charity organization derives its name from a play on the word “synesthesia”, a neurological condition in which sensory signals are cross-wired, to describe their unique amalgamation of local Montreal designers and talent with a coinciding undertone of Asian themes and inspiration.

Every year the organization selects a different charity for donation that is consistent with the values and causes promoted by SynesthAsia. Last year they succeeded in raising $9,000 for the Ashraya Initiative for Children based in Pune, India. This year they have selected the Medical Institute for Tamils (MIFT ) which provides aid and emergency medical supplies for the civil-war refugees in Sri Lanka.

The executives and volunteers of SynesthAsia have devoted themselves to achieving a target of $20,000 to be donated to MIFT from their various fundraisers and big Charity Fashion Show in January. Help them out and join the cause!
